耶穌想當老師、師父？

Gospel of Thomas

Jesus asked his disciples, "Make a comparison; What am I like?"

Simon Peter said to him, "You are like a just messenger."
Matthew said to him, "You are like a wise philosopher."
Thomas said to him, "Teacher (master), I cannot possibly say what you are like."

Jesus said, "I am not your teacher (master);
you have drunk from and become intoxicated from
the bubbling water that I poured out."

Jesus took Thomas and they withdrew.
Jesus said three things to him.

When Thomas returned to the other disciples,
they asked him: "What did Jesus tell you?"
Thomas replied: "If I tell you one of the sayings he told me,
you would pick up stones and throw them at me,
and fire would come from those stones and burn you up."


湯瑪士福音

耶穌對他的弟子說：
「比較一下，我像誰。？」

賽門彼得說：「你像是位正直（正義）的傳訊者。」

馬太說：「你像是位有智慧的哲學家。」

湯瑪士說：「老師（師父），我沒辦法說你像誰。」

耶穌說：「我不是你的老師（師父）。
你會認為我是你老師（師父），
是因為你已經酒醉而且陶醉於我倒出來的發泡水（酒）。」

然後他把湯瑪士帶開，告訴了他三件事情。

當湯瑪士回到其他門徒旁邊，
他們問他：「耶穌剛才跟你說了什麼？」

湯瑪士回答說：
「如果我告訴你們其中任何一件耶穌說的話，
你們將會拿起石頭扔向我，
然後火焰會從那些石頭中冒出來，
把你們燒盡。」
